Chengdu (CHN) hosted the first-ever UCI Urban Cycling World Championships. Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE) is part of the inaugural edition. Titouan Perrin-Ganier (FRA) won solo ahead of 2017’s World Cup winner Simon Gegenheimer and Lorenzo Serres. Kathrin Stirnemann (SUI) takes the title in the women’s Eliminator ahead of Sweden’s Ella Holmegård and French champion Perrine Clauzel.
Perrin-Ganier and Stirnemann take the double
After winning both titles at the European Championships earlier on this year in Boario (ITA), they now take home the rainbow jersey. Will we see them on next year’s UCI World Cup series?
