      Informationen (Practical information)

The third stop of this year’s UCI Mountainbike Eliminator Worldcup Tour will be in history the city of Graz, for the first time. The Athletes are fighting against each other on a circular course (Start / Finish Karmeliterplatz) in an Eliminator Final for the win. The breathtaking backdrop of the historical downtown promises spectacular pictures with the town’s landmark the „Grazer Uhrturm“ in the background. For all amateurs who wants to “scent the mountianbike worldcup air”, the organisers come up with the” Giga Sport Open” – a race, which promises the highest, tension for all cyclists.

      More info at www.facebook.com/MTBWeltcupGraz

      How to get there?

Looking for a travel arrangement? You can send a travel request to sports@bcdme.com (ask for Chantal or Peter). In order to get the best rate, we strongly recommend you to include the following information:

      • Please refer to City Mountainbike in your request
      • Departure (country of origin) + destination (city and country)
      • Travel dates
      • Amount of checked baggage
      • Please mention dimensions (LxWxH) + weight of your sporting equipment

You will receive an offer from BCD Sports to complete the accommodation request. All further (financial) arrangements will be dealt directly with BCD Sports. City Mountainbike is no longer involved as intermediary.

How to get to Graz by car:

When arriving from Vienna or Klagenfurt, take the highway A2 and the highway exit Graz-Ost. After approximately 3 km you will arrive at the event location – the city center of Graz. When coming from Salzburg or Linz, take the highway A9 and the highway exit Graz Nord, you will reach your destination after approximately 7 km.

How to get there by plane:

When flying directly to Graz, the city airport Graz Thalerhof (GRZ) is approximately 12 km away from the city center. There are a lot of direct flights connecting Graz with Vienna, Munich, Ljubljana or Salzburg – among others. Your alternative: Airport Vienna (Wien Schwechat (VIE)) with many more international connections and a two-hour drive away from the city center Graz by car.

How to get there by bus:

Our recommendation is to use the FlixBus, as an adorable and fast option. Depending on your point of departure, there are multiple stops in Graz. The closest stop is Giradigasse, which is a 5 min walk to the event location.

If you exit a Flixbus at the main railway station or come by train, take the tram line 1,3,6 or 7 to Hauptplatz.
