Penultimate round in Antwerp this weekend!

We’re heading back to Park Spoor Noord this weekend for the sixth and penultimate round of this year’s UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup in Antwerp (Belgium).

What’s so cool about this venue? A marshalling yard that turned into a large panoramic park now showcasing the greenery, leisure and sports in Antwerp.

Going into next Sunday’s round in Antwerp, will Belgian champion Fabrice Mels make it twice in a row or will we see Dutch athlete Lizzy Witlox strike again?

Belgian champion feels positive after last Sunday’s win

Belgium champion Fabrice Mels won in Winterberg (Germany) last weekend, ahead of World Cup leader Jeroen van Eck and German champion Simon Gegenheimer. Mels has only been racing this season since the European Championships in Graz. Since then, he made it three times on the podium (out of three World Cup events) and currently sits fifth in the overall standings of the 2018 UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup.
