Race types

  • KIDS: 15 minutes’ Kids race (initiation!)
  • Citizen Race: for all mountainbikers with or without licence born in 2002 or before and residing in the city or province where the race is organised (day permission from year of birth 2002 and before)
  • Shorttrack Race: for all cyclists with a minimum age of 17 with a valid race licence
  • UCI MTB Eliminator WorldCup (XCE) – for racers with a valid race licence for participation in MTB races. Women and Men.

Time registration

  • Every racer gets 1 chip for time registration integrated in the handlebar number.
    (The organization cannot be held responsible for any error if the chip should not be applied as prescribed!)
  • The racer’s number should be visibly attached to the steering. (also shirt number in XCE)
  • UCI Eliminator racers change their number (on the steering) AFTER the time trial in accordance with the time trial’s results.
    Responsibility

Responsibility

  • A helmet is obligatory.
  • Upon registration, each participant is covered by an insurance of the National Federation.
  • The organization cannot be held responsible for any accident or theft.
  • Regulations : UCI and National Federation

Registrations

  • Registration on www.citymountainbike.com
  • Only after payment and reception of a confirmation e-mail your registration shall be final!!
  • In case of cancellation a €10 administrative cost will be charged. Cancellation only possible till 8 days before the race.
  • If a racer does not show up on the day of the race, no registration fee shall be reimbursed.

Kids

  • Free registration
  • Kids’ initiation: 15 minutes.
  • Sign up before getting the number that must be attached to the steering.
  • With and without license : from year of birth 2002 till and including 2009
  • During warm-up the kids are allowed to train for 30 minutes on the course.
  • NO COMPETITION!
  • All kids get a medal!

Cityzen race

  • Max. 70 participants
  • Residing in the city of province where the event is organised
  • Without licence provided that the participants are covered with a day insurance (day licences from year of birth 2001 and before)
  • 20 minutes + 1 lap
  • Registration fee: €20€ licence
  • Starting sequence depends on the registration date.
  • Gents: 3 prizes (Medal + flowers)
  • Ladies: best lady (Medal + flowers)

Shorttrack (XCC)

  • Open for all racers with a valid race licence with a minimum age of 17 (year of birth 2000 or before) (men & women: Elite, U23, Juniors, Masters, Amateurs, FunMTB)
  • Separate ranking for Elite Men, Masters (including funMTB and amateurs) and Ladies
  • Race time: 35 minutes
  • After 10 min: an intermediate sprint
  • Prizes per intermediate sprint: 20/10/5 euro
  • Winner=the first racer to cross the finish line
  • Registration fee: 25 euro

Company Eliminator

  • Open for all companies
  • Team = 2 riders
  • Time race (1 lap)
  • Heats: team with best time against team with the last time – team with the second time against team with the second last time , ext.
  • Heats-scale: 16 – 32 – 64 team
  • Teams with times out of the Heat- scale for example 33 and for 34 – this teams ride a heat for place 33 and 34, and so on
  • Trophies for the first 3 teams
  • Registration fee: 150 euro (see return on Website)

UCI MTB ELIMINATOR World Cup: XCE

  • Participants timerace : no limit
  • Participants Heats: Women: 16 – Men: 32
  • For racers with a valid race licence for the following categories: Men & Women,
  • Registration fee: €35
  • No UCI points limit for participation
  • This race is open for riders aged 17 or older (year of birth 2000 and before) can participate at the Eliminator World Cup (Elite, Juniors, U23 and master)
  • category ranking is decided by the time in the individual time trial in 1 lap
  • The competitor’s number decides the starting sequence. The lowest number starts first.
  • At the start of the series and finals, the 4 racers stand next to one another.
  • Heats with maximum of 4 racers
  • At the start, starting lines shall not be crossed.
  • The race starts with a shot or the sound of a whistle, and is announced 15 seconds before.
  • Starting blocks indicated in the UCI table
  • Riders with DNS, DNF, DNQ behind their names after the time trial or after one of the heats cannot start in the next heat

Qualifications

  • 8 series with 4 participants each, 2 laps
    • 2 best participants go to the quarter finals

Quarter finals

  • 4 series of 4 participants each, 2 laps
    • 2 best participants go to the semi-finals

Semi-finals

  • 2 series of 4 participants each, 2 laps
  • 2 best participants go to the big finale, the other 2 go to the small final

Finals

  • Small final: 2 laps
  • Big final: 2 laps

Day results:

  • The result is drawn up by the commissaires panel, based on the electronic time records and in accordance with the UCI regulations.

At the sole discretion of the commissaires panel, a rider can, after a heat, be classified in a ranking other than that of his actual finishing and it can be announced as a degradation (REL).

Racers that are DNF, DSQ or DNS in the semi-finals shall not be entitled to participate in the small final.

The final classification of the competition shall be set as described below:

  1. All riders competing in the big final, except for riders DSQ.
  2. All riders competing in the small final, except for riders DSQ.
  3. Riders DNF or DNS in the semi-finals.
  4. The positions of the other ridersare decided by the series they obtained, next by their position in the time trial and finally by their competitor’s number.

DNF participants are classified before the DNS participants. If there are several DNF and DNS racers the competitor’s number shall decide on their classification.

DNF and DNS participants in the first series of the main competition shall be mentioned without end result.

  • New handlebar number after time trial with numbers 1 to 32.

UCI Points. (UCI Cat. 3)

The UCI competition supplies the following XCO UCI points:

schedule and heats wil always be visible on the table above.
there must always be 3 starting riders during the heats. if there would only be two riders left, through understaffing of the race or injury, then those two
riders are qualified automatically to the next round and do not have to race this heat.
finals are always ridden (min. 2 riders)

General classification

  • The result is drawn up based on the electronic time records and in accordance with the UCI regulations.

Weekend ranking: Eliminator + Shorttrack
The general individual ranking is decided based on the individual results of each participant.
The som of point of the eliminator race and the shorttrack race of the weekend will decide over the weekend raking.
Points shall be divided in accordance with the below scale of marks for the eliminator race and shorttrack race: 60 – 40 – 30 – 25 – 20 – 18 – 16 – 14 – 12 – 10 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1
Equally placed participants shall be classified by the positions (1st, 2nd, etc.). By only considering the positions acquired in the City MountainBike races. If they still are at the same ranking position, the marks won in the last race shall be valid.

General raking UCI MTB Eliminator WorldCup (XCE)

The general individual ranking is decided based on the individual results of each participant.
The sum of points of the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup races over the circuit of all 8 races of the circuit will decide over the general UCI MTB Eliminator Wold Cup!
Points shall be divided in accordance with the below scale of points for each UCI MTB Eliminator WorldCup race: 60 – 40 – 30 – 25 – 20 – 18 – 16 – 14 – 12 – 10 – 8 – 6 – 4 – 3 – 2 – 1
Equally placed participants shall be classified by the positions (1st, 2nd, etc.). By only considering the positions acquired in the Wrold Cup races. If they still are at the same ranking position, the marks won in the last race shall be valid.

Total prize money: 47.920euro (5.990 euro per race)

      • Elite Men ( Juniors – U23): 525€ (250/125/75/50/25)
      • Ladies: 115€ (60/30/15/10)
      • Masters 120€ (60/30/20/10)
      • Debutants 115€ (60/30/20/10)
      • Intermediate sprints: 105€ (3x 20/10/5)

Weekend General ranking:
UCI Eliminator + Shorttrack

      • Elite Men (Juniors – U23): 585€ (300/150/75/35/25)
      • Elite Ladies: 585€ (300/150/75/35/25)
      • Masters: 150€ (90/40/20)

UCI MTB Eliminator WorldCup General (11400 euro)

    • Elite Men : 5700 euro (2400/1250/850/350/250/200/150/100/100/50)
